six pence and a waning moon

I'll sing a song to no one
a mouth full of nothing
give it everything I got
let'em have not a drop

The Enigmatic Isle

Last night I dreamt
again
of your smile

It was for me
if only
for awhile

Howl of the Pact

I heard your sighs
caught in the wind
you lost your breath
looking for something to burn

I'll breathe out while you breathe in

just a drop

somedays
the taste of coffee
lingering in your mouth
singes my tongue

this is
what it is
to remember you

inadequacy

what are love poems for
when we could be touching each
other's senses, dear

boundary layer

it's nice to have words come
so nice and easily
but what happens to words
that don't come so quickly
words that fall by the wayside,
 or trying to escape

little thoughts they represent, where do they go?

do they take on different properties
according to their weight
density, or mood
perhaps it's just a natural reaction like
gas

pretense

rather that my arms would hold you
than my words to bind you

rather not kiss and tie you
instead, release the kinks
inside you

would that you were here
beside me, than without me

a disappointment

Let me crawl into
your arms, I've been found wanting
misapprehended

make me up
